Clear Aligners

What are Clear Aligners?

Clear aligners are ideal for straightening and perfecting patients’ smiles. If your teeth are crooked or crowded, we may suggest clear aligners to fix the problem. These aligners are completely removable and should be taken out whenever you brush your teeth or eat. They are clear in nature, ensuring that no one but you and the dental team know you’re even wearing them.

Why are Clear Aligners needed?

You may want or even need clear aligner treatment if you have crowded, crooked or otherwise misaligned teeth. This treatment is ideal for patients of all ages, but older teens and adults can especially benefit from clear aligners. Not only can treatment help to improve your confidence, but they can help to improve the alignment of your teeth to help in keeping them properly clean.

“I had such a great experience here, everyone made me feel at home. Dr.Patel was so good at explain all my treatment.”

Who is a good candidate for Clear Aligners?

Most patients who need orthodontic treatment can benefit from clear aligners. However, in order for the treatment to be effective, you’ll need to wear the clear aligners for about 22 hours a day. This means that they may not be the best choice for younger children who may remove the aligners throughout the day. We will perform an exam to determine if and when you may need to have orthodontic treatment done using clear aligners.

What happens during the Clear Aligner treatment process?

We begin with a consultation, exam and series of x-rays. We then take impressions to help create the new aligners that you’ll be wearing. These aligners have to be worn for about 22 hours each day and night. They should be removed whenever you eat and brush your teeth. You will then come back in every few weeks to have new aligners made for you to wear. Most orthodontic treatment plans can take about a year or two to completely finish, but this will vary depending on how severe your orthodontic problems actually are.

If you think you might want or need clear aligners, call our office today and we will be happy to further assist you.
