Dental Emergencies

What are Dental Emergencies?

Dental emergencies can strike at any time, leaving you in pain and severe discomfort. Treatment of emergencies is important, as it prevents the problem you’re experiencing from getting worse. We offer emergency care to both new and existing patients who are in need of immediate dental treatment. We work to correct the problem and help in establishing a treatment plan that is specific to your needs.

Why is treatment of Dental Emergencies necessary?

If you continually forgo treatment of a dental emergency, the problem can and will get worse. For example, a filling that has fallen out can easily be replaced, but if you fail to see a dentist, the tooth will become incredibly sensitive and may even begin to develop deep decay. Treatment is customized to each individual patient and is meant to reduce pain and discomfort while helping to restore your smile.

“I had such a great experience here, everyone made me feel at home. Dr.Patel was so good at explain all my treatment.”

What are common Dental Emergencies?

Emergencies can affect both adult and pediatric patients. We offer care to both new and existing patients as needed, and we work to get you in as soon as feasibly possible. Some of the most common emergencies include:

  • Toothache and severe pain
  • Gum bleeding and inflammation
  • Infections and abscesses
  • Wisdom tooth pain
  • Post-surgical complications
  • Broken, cracked or chipped teeth
  • Restorations that have fallen out
  • Orthodontic emergencies

What can you expect during treatment of Dental Emergencies?

You will first come into our office and be comfortably seated in one of our examination rooms. Depending on your emergency, we may take x-rays of the area that will be used to diagnose the problem. Our doctor will then come in and examine your teeth while asking about the problem you’re experiencing. We will provide treatment of the emergency while you’re in the office. If you have an infection, we may suggest taking an antibiotic before any type of treatment is done, giving the infection time to heal.

If you’re experiencing an emergency right now and need immediate care, call our office and we will be able to get you in at your earliest convenience.
